Masonry Mortar
Mortar used for arrangement of porous concrete slabs and blocks at exterior and interior work. GOST 28013-98.
Mortar mixture contains cement, natural quartz sand, mineral fillers and polymer additives which increase technological effectiveness, water retention, plasticity, durability, etc.
Properties: Solid, moisture resistant, freeze-thaw durable, cost-efficient and easy-to-use. Mortar joint thickness is between 2 and 4 mm.
Application: Used for arrangement of porous concrete slabs and blocks at exterior and interior work.
Base surface preparation: Base must be firm, dry, solid, free of dust, old paint, oily stains and other substances that decrease bond resistance.
Temperature condition: It is recommended to maintain the temperature of the base between +10oC and +25oC while working and within the next 2 days.
Application method: Add dry mortar to pure water of the temperature between 15oC and 18 oC. Water to mortar ratio should be 0.2-0.22 l to 1 kg (5.0-5.5 l to a pack of 25 kg). Mix mortar and water to get a uniform mass, leave for 10 minutes and mix again. Be aware of water excess resulting in reduction of mortar strength properties! Use mixed mortar within the next 3 hours. Apply mortar to clean surface. Recommended mortar joint thickness is within the range of 2 and 4 mm. A block must be placed within 10 minutes after mortar application. The use of serrated spatula provides economic glue consumption. Any adjustment must be done within 10 minutes after the placement of the blocks.
Precautions: Mortar contains cement. Wear rubber gloves while working. A respiratory or gauze bandage is recommended to avoid inhalation. In case of eye contact flush eyes with a big amount of water.
Storage: Keep tightly closed in a dry place. Storage time 6 months.
Technical data: Composition: cement, natural mineral fillers, polymer additives.
